RESUMO

Resumo Este artigo compreende oito cartas trocadas entre as autoras ao longo do mês de abril de 2020, tendo por eixo norteador o tema das análises online. Em uma retomada metodológica da produção teórica pela via das correspondências, amplamente utilizada entre Freud e seus interlocutores, propõe uma tessitura em ato de conceitos-acontecimentos em torno do atendimento mediado pelas tecnologias da informação e da comunicação, bem como dos deslocamentos no estatuto da escuta clínica, que reverberam especialmente sobre o inconsciente, a presença do analista e a questão do registro. A escrita epistolar possibilitou uma elaboração afetuosa e desinstitucionalizada, rompendo com a lógica academicista, sem perder o rigor conceitual do campo freudo-lacaniano na interlocução com outros autores. As discussões apresentadas refletem sobre quais vidas são passíveis de escuta nas análises, online ou não, em variados desdobramentos que circunscrevem uma clínica do contemporâneo.


Abstract This essay consists of eight letters exchanged between the authors over the course of April 2020, on the topic of online analysis. Resuming the methodological approach of theoretical production via correspondence, widely used by Freud and his interlocutors, the article weaves concepts-events regarding psychological care mediated by information and communication technologies, as well as shifts in the status of clinical listening, which reverberate especially on the unconscious, the presence of the analyst and issue of recording. The epistolary writing enabled an affectionate and deinstitutionalized elaboration, breaking with academic logic, without losing the conceptual rigor of the Freudian-Lacanian field in dialogue with other authors. The discussions presented reflect on which lives can be heard in analysis, online or otherwise, in varying unfoldings that circumscribe a contemporary clinic.


Resumen Este artículo consta de ocho cartas intercambiadas entre las autoras durante el mes de abril de 2020, teniendo como eje central el tema de los análisis en línea. En una retomada metodológica de la producción teórica a través de las correspondencias, ampliamente utilizadas entre Freud y sus interlocutores, se propone una costura en acto de conceptos acontecimientos sobre la atención mediada por las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación, así como de los desplazamientos en el estatuto de la escucha clínica, que repercute especialmente en el inconsciente, la presencia del analista y la cuestión del registro. La escritura epistolar posibilitó una elaboración afectuosa y no institucional, rompiendo con la lógica academicista, sin perder el rigor conceptual con el campo freudo-lacaniano en la interlocución con otros autores. Las discusiones que se presentan aquí reflexionan sobre cuáles vidas son susceptibles de escucha en los análisis, en línea o no, en diversos desplazamientos en materia de una clínica de la contemporaneidad.


Résumé Cet essai comprend huit lettres échangées entre les autrices au cours du mois d'avril 2020, sur le thème de l'analyse en ligne. Reprenant l'approche méthodologique de la production théorique par correspondance, largement utilisée par Freud et ses interlocuteurs, l'article tisse des concepts-événements concernant le soin psychologique médiatisé par les technologies de l'information et de la communication, ainsi que des déplacements du statut de l'écoute clinique, qui se répercutent notamment sur l'inconscient, la présence de l'analyste et la question de l'enregistrement. L'écriture épistolaire a permis une élaboration affectueuse et désinstitutionnalisée, en rupture avec la logique académique, sans perdre la rigueur conceptuelle du champ freudo-lacanien en dialogue avec d'autres auteurs. Les discussions présentées réfléchissent sur les vies qui peuvent être entendues en analyse, en ligne ou non, dans des déroulements divers qui circonscrivent une clinique du contemporain.

RESUMO

Can people improve their lives by smiling more, trying to have a better posture, and by thinking about good memories? Can individuals become more successful by deliberatively engaging in positive actions and thoughts? Do people feel better by following recommendations from naïve psychology? In the present article we discuss these questions, noting that although some popular interventions thought to be universally beneficial (e.g., inductions of happiness, self-affirmation, empowerment, self-distancing) can sometimes yield positive outcomes, at other times the outcomes can also be negative. Taking an empirical approach based on experimental evidence, we postulate that understanding the underlying processes discovered in the science of persuasion is the key for specifying why, when, and for whom these practical initiatives are more likely to work or to backfire

The use of ambulatory assessment (AA) and related methods (experience sampling, ecological momentary assessment) has greatly increased within the field of adolescent psychology. In this guide, we describe important practices for conducting AA studies in adolescent samples. To better understand how researchers have been implementing AA study designs, we present a review of 23 AA studies that were conducted in adolescent samples from 2017. Results suggest that there is heterogeneity in how AA studies in youth are conducted and reported. Based on these insights, we provide recommendations with regard to participant recruitment, sampling scheme, item selection, power analysis, and software choice. Further, we provide a checklist for reporting on AA studies in adolescent samples that can be used as a guideline for future studies.

RESUMO

Ambulatory assessment (AA) offers one of the most exciting approaches for opening the dynamic "black box" of adolescents' daily lives. In this introduction, we spotlight AA's surprisingly restricted market share within adolescent scholarship. We describe thorny challenges these intense methods can pose when conducting adolescent research "in situ" and underscore that capturing quality AA data means placing adolescents' developmental stage at the forefront. The novel research reported in this special section speaks to these challenges and underscores the promise of AA for conducting developmentally salient science. The nine articles included in the section span multiple disciplines (Sociology, Psychology, Public Health) and reflect diverse viewpoints, approaches, and theories. All provide multiple novel best-practice strategies for conducting AA scholarship with adolescents.

La sostenibilidad de la fuerza laboral es de vital importancia para la viabilidad y la ventaja competitiva de las organizaciones contemporáneas. Así, y en paralelo con el surgimiento de la Psicología Organizacional Positiva, las organizaciones han incrementado su interés en fomentar el bienestar psicológico positivo de sus empleados. En este trabajo, las intervenciones de amplificación -i-e. intervenciones que tienen como objetivo fomentar el bienestar positivo en el trabajo - se presentan como una herramienta valiosa para incrementar la sostenibilidad de la fuerza laboral. En la pasada década, se han desarrollado y probado la efectividad de algunas intervenciones realizadas en el contexto laboral centradas en la amplificación. En el presente trabajo, en primer lugar destacamos algunas precondiciones importantes para el éxito de las intervenciones y brevemente discutimos el proceso de intervención en sí mismo. A continuación, se presenta una revisión de los trabajos empíricos sobre las intervenciones de amplificación, centrándonos en intervenciones que tienen como objetivo fomentar el engagement en el trabajo de los empleados. La investigación futura debe centrarse en probar los efectos de este tipo de intervenciones sobre los resultados a nivel de equipo y a nivel organizacional


Workforce sustainability is of vital utmost importance for the viability and competitive advantage of contemporary organizations. Therefore, and in parallel with the rise of positive organizational psychology, organizations have become increasingly interested in how to enhance their employees’ positive psychological well being. In this paper, amplition interventions - i.e. interventions aimed at enhancing positive work-related well being - are presented as a valuable tool to increase workforce sustainability. In the past decade, some work-related interventions focused on amplition have been developed and tested for their effectiveness. In this paper, we will first outline some important preconditions for successful interventions and briefly discuss the intervention process itself. Next, we will give an overview of empirical work on amplition interventions, focusing on interventions that are aimed at enhancing employee work engagement. Future research should focus on testing the effects of this type of interventions on outcomes at the team and organizational level

Extraversion is a personality trait which has been systematically related to positive affect and well-being. One of the mechanisms that may account for these positive outcomes is the ability to regulate the responses to positive, as well as negative, moods. Prior research has found that extraverts’ higher positive mood maintenance could explain their higher levels of positive affect. However, research exploring differences between extraverts and introverts in negative mood regulation has yielded mixed results. The aim of the current study was explore the role of different facets of mood regulation displayed by extraverts, ambiverts, and introverts. After been exposed to a sad vs. happy mood induction, participants underwent a mood regulation task. Extraverts and ambiverts exhibited higher positive mood regulation than introverts, but similar mood repair. Thus, this research highlights the importance of positive mood regulation in the psychological functioning of extraverts, and opens new conceptualizations for developing interventions for introverts to improve their positive mood regulation and, hence, overall positive affect and well-being


La extraversión es un rasgo de personalidad que ha sido sistemáticamente relacionado con el afecto positivo y el bienestar. Uno de los mecanismos que puede dar cuenta de estos efectos positivos es la habilidad para responder a los estados de ánimo tanto negativos como positivos. La investigación previa ha encontrado que el mayor mantenimiento de estados de ánimo positivos que logran los extravertidos podría explicar sus niveles elevados de afecto positivo. Sin embargo, las investigaciones que han explorado las diferencias entre extravertidos e introvertidos en cuanto a la regulación del estado de ánimo negativo han dado lugar a resultados mixtos. El objetivo del presente estudio fue explorar el papel de las diferentes facetas de la regulación emocional desplegadas por los extravertidos, ambivertidos e introvertidos. Tras ser inducidos a un estado de ánimo triste o alegre, los participantes fueron sometidos a una tarea de regulación emocional. Los participantes extravertidos y ambivertidos mostraron un nivel de regulación del estado de ánimo positivo mejor que los introvertidos, pero un nivel similar de regulación del estado de ánimo triste. Por tanto, esta investigación destaca la importancia de la regulación de estados de ánimo positivos en el funcionamiento psicológico de los extravertidos, y abre nuevas conceptualizaciones para desarrollar intervenciones en las que los introvertidos puedan mejorar la regulación de sus estados de ánimo positivos y, en consecuencia, mejorar su nivel general de afecto positivo y de bienestar

La Psicología Positiva (PsP) ha tenido un gran auge en los últimos veinte años. El objetivo del presente trabajo es enumerar una serie de mitos y maniobras argumentales falaces que siembran serias dudas acerca de lo novedoso y original de la PsP. En su discurso destaca lo pseudocientífico y una cierta deshonestidad intelectual. Además, disemina a través de redes sociales, libros y revistas especializadas, un conocimiento, se supone que empíricamente fundamentado, pero que en realidad está plagado de afirmaciones tautológicas, conocimientos superficiales y conclusiones evidentes. Todo el conocimiento generado por la PsP pone de manifiesto lo que aporta el sentido común sensato, y la razonable sabiduría tradicional. En conclusión, para esto, no hace falta la PsP y, además, se convierte, en cierta medida, en académica y socialmente innecesaria, irrelevante y prescindible. El trabajo finaliza con una serie de consideraciones acerca del incierto futuro de la siempre controvertida PsP


Positive Psychology (PP) has experienced a huge boom in the last twenty years. The aim of this study is to list a number of myths and fallacious argumentative manoeuvres which sow serious doubts about the novelty and originality of PP. The PP discourse is notably pseudoscientific and has a certain intellectual dishonesty. Additionally, PP extends knowledge through social networks, books and journals. This knowledge is alleged to be empirically evidence-based, but in fact it is sustained upon tautological statements, superficial knowledge and obvious conclusions. All of the knowledge produced by PP reveals what it is provided by common sense and traditional wisdom. In conclusion, PP is not necessary in producing this knowledge and is academically and socially irrelevant and dispensable. This paper concludes with some considerations about the uncertain future of the always controversial PP

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) is published by the American Psychiatric Association (APA) as a guide for diagnosing psychiatric diseases and enables the alignment of psychiatric diagnoses with those of the psychologists, the social workers, the nursing staff and other mental health professionals. In addition, it helps bring cohesion to research, public health policy, education, the field of insurance and compensation and the legal system. After 14 years of hard work, the updated version of the DSM, the DSM-5, was published on May 2013. The current review aims to update the readers on the essence of the DSM and the methods of psychiatric diagnosing and to present the main changes in the field, as expressed in the 5th edition of the guide. In addition to details of those changes we included discussions of the criticisms brought against them. We hope that the review will contribute to broadening the readers' knowledge, broaden exposure and familiarity with the psychiatric lingo and to strengthening the professional ties between psychiatrists and professionals in other, tangential, medical fields.

The three purposes of this paper are to provide reflections on (a) defining a new field of sports medicine psychology, (b) our research examining the genesis and testing of the integrated model of psychological response to the sport injury and rehabilitation process (Wiese-Bjornstal and Smith, 1993), and, (c) future directions for evaluating the model and advancing the field of sports medicine psychology. Illustrations visually summarize components of sports medicine psychology and show the integrated model, while a summary table highlights key findings from over 25 years of research about the integrated model components. Historical perspectives, philosophical dilemmas, conceptual frameworks, research findings, and professional issues interweave in addressing reflections in these three areas (AU)


Los tres objetivos de este artículo son el reflexionar sobre (a) la definición d un nuevo campo de la psicología de la medicina del deporte; (b) la investigaciones que han examinado la génesis y la comprobación del modelo psicológico integrado de respuesta a la lesión deportiva y del proceso de readaptación (Wiese-Bjornstal y Smith. 1993), y (c) las futuras direcciones para la evaluación del modelo y para el avance en el campo de psicología de la medicina del deporte. Se han usado ilustraciones para sintetizar visualmente los componentes de la psicología de la medicina del deporte, y para mostrar el modelo integrado, mientras que se resumen en una Tabla los hallazgos clave de los últimos 25 años de investigación acerca de los componentes del modelo integrado. Finalmente, se combinan de forma sinóptica las perspectiva históricas, los dilemas filosóficos, los marcos teóricos, los hallazgos de la investigación y los temas profesionales, con la finalidad de responder a esos tres objetivos (AU)

La psicología positiva no es una ciencia de la psicología, pues carece de un objeto de estudio propio y específico, así como de las categorías conceptuales con que se le represente teóricamente. Por consiguiente, carece de una teoría tecnológica que haga posible traducir el conocimiento científico en conocimiento aplicable a los problemas sociales en los que la dimensión psicológica es pertinente. Se concluye que la psicología positiva es algo más que una "buena moda" o una "magia simpática"; constituye, en esencia, un intento injustificado e infructuoso por dar vida propia a una nueva y distinta psicología; en suma, es un ejemplo conspicuo de la sinrazón de la razón


Positive psychology is not a science of psychology, because it lacks a specific subject matter as well as conceptual categories that theoretically represent it. Even more, it is not built on the foundations of a theory that would make it possible to translate scientific knowledge into technological knowledge, applicable to social problems in which the psychological dimension is relevant. We conclude that positive psychology is more than just a "good fashion" or "sympathetic magic"; it is, in essence, an unwarranted and fruitless attempt to give life to a new and very different psychology. In short, it is a conspicuous example of the illogic of logic

Assim, exploram os modelos psicanalíticos freudiano, kleiniano e bioniano, respectivamente, buscando compreender a origem lógica desses conceitos, contrastá-los, ver seus desenvolvimentos e discutir as implicações teóricas, clínicas e técnicas. No âmbito freudiano, apoiam-se em Freud, Garcia-Roza, Laplanche e Pontalis, Green e Botella e Botella; no campo kleiniano utilizam Klein, Jones, Ferenczi, Susan Isaacs; e, finalmente, na esfera bioniana, Meltzer, Bion, Ogden e Ferro. Por fim, descrevem algumas de suas repercussões na clínica e técnica psicanalíticas(AU)


The authors discuss the concepts of representation and symbolization inserted in their metapsychological contexts. This way, they explore the freudian, kleinian and bionion psychoanalytic model respectively, searching to understand the logic origin of these concepts, as well as contrast them, observe their development and discuss the clinical, theoretical and technical implication. In the freudian scope, the authors rely on Freud, Garcia-Roza, Laplanche e Pontalis, Green and Botella & Botella; in the kleinian field, they make use of Klein, Jones, Ferenczi, Susan Isaacs; and finally, in the bionion perspective, Meltzer, Bion, Ogden and Ferro. Lastly, it is described some of their repercussion in the psychoanalytic clinic and Technique(AU)

RESUMO

Los problemas psicológicos han sido y siguen siendo patologizados, convertidos en psicopatología. El artículo hace una breve referencia histórica a este proceso y un análisis crítico de sus insuficiencias lógicas y epistemológicas y un análisis de los inconvenientes que plantea para su comprensión y solución. Desde los paradigmas de la psicología cabe hacer un cambio de paradigma y ofrecer una alternativa no psicopatológica que permita comprender el significado de los problemas (AU)


Psychological problems have been and continue to be pathologized, converted to psychopathology. This article gives a brief historical reference to this process and a critical analysis of its logical and epistemological inadequacies and an analysis of the problems posed to their understanding and solution. From the paradigms of psychology, its posible make a paradigm shift and offer an no psychopathological alternative that allows understand the significance of the problems (AU)

Controversy remains about the empirical status of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and its presumably different characteristics relative to traditional cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). The current study aims to shed some light in this respect by conducting a systematic review and meta-analysis of the studies that have empirically compared ACT versus CBT. Sixteen studies comparing differential outcomes (N= 954) of ACT versus CBT in diverse problems were identified following several search strategies. The meta-analysis, which applied random and mixed effects models, showed that mean effect sizes on primary outcomes significantly favored ACT (Hedges’s g= 0.40). Mean effect sizes were not significant with anxiety symptoms whereas a positive trend for ACT was obtained in depression (g= 0.27) and quality of life (g= 0.25) at post-treatment. Likewise, ACT showed a greater impact on its putative processes of change (g= 0.38) and no differences were found regarding CBT proposed processes (g= 0.05). Nine of the sixteen studies conducted formal mediation analyses. Overall, ACT seemed to work through its proposed processes of change but CBT did not. Results are discussed highlighting the limitations of the current empirical evidence but also emphasizing the relevance of the current findings (AU)

The rising incidence of Alzheimer’s disease over the last few decades has led to it becoming considered a challenge for health and social care systems worldwide. Examining it from a psychological viewpoint, the benefits of approaching its study from a global perspective have been proposed, taking into consideration much more than the cognitive impairment by which it is characterized. There is growing interest in the non-cognitive symptoms (depressive, psychotic and disturbing and/or inappropriate behavior) observed in Alzheimer’s patients, especially considering that the limitations placed on the patients’ well-being are coupled with the impact on the tolerance levels of their caregivers with a consequent increase in burden and stress. The undeniable relevance of this situation has led to attempts being made to verify if this interest is reflected in proposals of preventative and therapeutic actions aimed at improving the quality of life for Alzheimer’s patients and their families. For this reason, we have reviewed publications relating to this field from specialized Spanish journals with the greatest impact on the IN-RECS (Impact Index of Spanish Social Science Journals), dated between 1990-2010. The results show that there are relatively few publications on Alzheimer’s and very few providing information regarding therapeutic actions of any kind, as if from a psychological perspective, there was very little to be said on the subject (AU)

El artículo aborda los cambios en la relación clínico-asistencial y sus factores causales, poniendo énfasis en las transformaciones que han sufrido las variables de saber, método y organización. El trabajo confronta este nuevo paradigma, marcado por la concepción del hombre neuronal, la atomización disciplinaria y la idolatría de la gestión a otras modalidades del vínculo asistencial basadas en la conversación regular con el paciente y entre los profesionales de la red asistencial. Finalmente, señala la importancia que toma, en este dialogo clínico, la confianza en el síntoma y en la posición subjetiva como brújula de la intervención clínica (AU)


The article discusses the changes in clinical-care relations and their causal factors, emphasizing the transformations suffered by knowledge variables, method and organization. The paper confronts this new paradigm shaped by the conception of neuronal man, the disciplinary atomization, and idolatry management, to other modalities of the care link based on regular conversation with the patient and between professionals within the health care network. Finally, notes some key aspects in the clinical dialogue, such as trust in the symptom and in subjective position as a compass for clinical intervention (AU)
